Abstract
En las últimas décadas ha prevalecido una crítica seudo-objetiva donde la personalidad del crítico queda fuera o sobre el texto, provocando la casi eliminación de su subjetividad como lector. Así creemos necesario enfatizar el proceso de recepción estética y de creación literaria en la ensayística del modernismo hispanoamericano, manifiesto a través de los testimonios de sus representantes acerca del concepto de "crítica literaria artística".
A partir de esta aproximaxión intentamos descubrir el estilo de recepción dominante durante la vigencia del modernismo como perspectiva totalizadora de la estética y como base para el estudio del ensayo hispanoamericano a partir de su carácter dialàgico entre autor, texto y receptor activo.
