Abstract
Este trabajo hace parte del 'Proyecto de Investigación sobre desnutrición y desarrollo Mental' de un programa cooperativo entre el Instituto Nacional de Nutrición y la Escuela de Salud Pública de la Universidad de Harvard iniciado en 1968.
En él se estudian las relaciones existentes entre desarrollo mental y desnutrición infantil, partiendo de un marco conceptual donde se analizan distintas concepciones teóricas que permiten fundamentar para la investigación de campo. La segunda parte la constituye la investigación de campo y sus resultados.
