Abstract
El presente resumen demanda una explicación respecto a la hipótesis de trabajo, a los conceptos operatorios y a las etapas de desarrollo.
La idea fundamental del estudio considera que la importancia de una cabecera municipal, de un municipio o de una región, depende del volumen de población y del dinamismo demográfico en un determinado período de tiempo. Estos dos aspectos, a su vez, dependen del sistema productivo.
El volumen de población utiliza la población de las cabeceras, de los restos de municipios y del total municipal de los censos de 1951 y 1973, con el fin de analizar la población global actual, la distribución de la población en el área de estudio, el predominio de la población bien sea de las cabeceras o bien de los restos de municipios, y finalmente, comparar las valores porcentuales de los tres sectores demográficos, en los dos censos, con el fin de observar la evolución de los mismos en 22 años.
