Abstract
ANTROPOLOGÍA PARA LA EMANCIPACIÓN: PROYECTO DE ANTROPOLOGÍA COLOMBIANA. Dependiendo de herramientas teórico-meto-dológicas y de criterios ideológicos foráneos procedentes de las grandes metrópolis dominantes, los antropólogos en Colombia poco nos venimos interesando en la emancipación de nuestra disciplina científica. Para no seguir incurriendo en las deformaciones que se derivan de los modelos utilizados y la excesiva tendencia a la fragmentación y parcelación de estudios e investigaciones, es necesario desarrollar modelos propios, adaptables a las problemáticas del subdesarrollo y la dependencia, en el marco concreto del Tercer Mundo.
La mayoría de las investigaciones antropológicas en Colombia, se concentran en el estudio de las comunidades indígenas y las culturas populares rurales, sin rozar apenas la problemática cultural suburbana y urbana y mucho menos la que pudiéramos llamar Cultura Nacional Hegemónica. En este último caso, no sabemos el motivo por el cuál no se han realizado estudios antropológicos.
