Abstract
Antes de comenzar el desarrollo de estas páginas, conviene que adelante algunas ideas en tomo al fenómeno del trasplante cultural Iberoamericano, que ayudarán a conocer y particularizar su contenido así como el propósito que he tenido al componerlas.
El trabajo ha sido elaborado con el ánimo de facilitar el estudio de la historia del Derecho Indiano, tema fundamental en la comprensión de la problemática planteada a raíz del trasplante de las instituciones político-Administrativas y la organización Colonial Española. Este es un propósito seguramente bien ambicioso para una comunicación tan corta. Propósito realizable1, creo, siempre y cuando sea más una cuestión de tendencias generales que detalles de erudición. No se tratará más que de concepciones y planes de conjunto, algo en suma aproximado a la iniciación del profundo estudio que más allá del presente bosquejo plantea el Derecho Indiano. En realidad, el verdadero conocimiento al respecto se logra mediante estudio asiduo de los materiales impresos y documentales recogidos en archivos y bibliotecas. He querido hacer llegar a mis colegas y alumnos, parte de la experiencia recogida durante mi estadía en el Archivo de Indias, de la Universidad de Sevilla y el Archivo Histórico Nacional de Madrid.
