Abstract
En esta relación hemos agrupado, según la vecindad de los encomenderos, los valores de las encomiendas concedidas en el Nuevo Reino de Granada durante los años 1590-1597.
El fin primordial de esta distribución es ubicarlas geográficamente a través de focos de poblaciones, para así poder "valorar" sus encomiendas. Según los resultados veremos cómo se van distinguiendo vecindades con mayor demanda de encomiendas; valores altos y bajos según su situación geográfica; mayor o menor cantidad de nuevas adjudicaciones, sucesiones y ratificación de títulos.
