Abstract
Etimológicamente lo "heurístico" significa "lo encontrado". Por extensión lo heurístico señala tanto al proceso previo de encontrar algo como al punto de partida de este proceso. Arquímedes corriendo desnudo por las calles de Siracusa gritando "Eureka" simboliza no sólo el gozo del descubrimiento científico sino también la preocupación y el desvelo que antecedió a la decisión de tomar un baño de agua caliente en las termas de la ciudad, y, en último término, la apremiante pregunta del rey Hiero sobre la consistencia real de su corona de oro. Lo heurístico significa, pues, lo encontrado. Pero más primariamente significa lo descubierto por haber sido buscado y preguntado, lo finalmente conocido por haber sido una vez desconocido.This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public, encourages greater global exchange of knowledge.
