Abstract

This paper examines the problems faced by today’s University from a critical approach. It examines the crisis related to the phenomena found throughout the social world that show the impossibilities to continue supporting the division of sciences established by modern projects. Hence it asks: Which is the role of the University in contemporary societies, where human beings are faced to live with a calculating and weighing attitude about their own possibilities and options? Arguments are grounded in the field of teaching practice and research, as the basis of goals pursued by the Academy
