Abstract
El presente trabajo analiza los factores estratégicos de siete proyectos y empresas de turismo rural en el municipio de Tlaquiltenango Morelos, México, a partir del estudio de caso. Los resultados muestran que la atención a las diez variables, es desigual y contrastante, por ejemplo: el cuidado del ambiente y la administración; el manejo de los recursos de uso común, y la participación y el liderazgo; la normatividad y la competitividad; el mercado y planeación; soporte institucional y apropiación del territorio. En suma, el turismo rural en este municipio, es una fuente constante de empleo por su dotación y calidad de recursos de agua y paisajes abundantes; por esta razón, la categoría ambiental es la más sobresaliente frente a la categoría organización, en la cual la variable administración es la menos atendida.
