Abstract
Desde que aparecieron con fuerza en el panorama crítico latinoamericano, los denominadosestudios culturales han tenido un efecto benéfico innegable sobre las áreas deconocimiento centradas en lo humano y lo social, pues han sido la chispa de un sinnúmerode debates en torno a objetos de estudio, enfoques de trabajo, relaciones entreáreas y, en especial, en torno a los alcances éticos y políticos de la investigación y laproducción de saber en estos campos de saber. Si en unos años, al recapitular su historia,halláramos que esa fue su única función, tendríamos que reconocer que fueron unatramoya de singular y extraordinaria calidad. Por lo menos para los estudios literarios enLatinoamérica, ese llamado a la reflexión disciplinar y la paleta de asuntos que hemostenido que plantearnos en consecuencia son de todo punto necesarios y oportunos.This journal is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
