Abstract
This writing is a form of correspondence, an improvisation, a temporary experiment marked by a particular length, a corp-oralfabulating process (regurgitation), a rigorous superstition which, given a dose of attention, proposes to feel-think the practices of improvisatory contact in dance. Its decisive action to divide the writing among two people, with four hands and under the vertigo of slowness which upholds the effects of improvisation on the bodies of those who write, contains the urgency of amplifying the frameworks of resonance that both dance and its potential perspectives of experimentation have with life and with the agonizing present, which claims our responsibility. Therefore, this exchange of (thou/wei)ght that comes and goes, in an epistolary fashion, proposes to open a space for regurgitation, remains, leftovers, residue, traces, babblings, which oscillate, without being decanted, between that which has barely been born and that which approaches decomposition. In this way, it presents novel pathways that invite us to fabulate practices of attention, of improvisation, that lose track of their desire for momentum and for the productivity germane to the reign of contemporary arts and performativities. This correspondence begins within the framework of the Fourth Encuentro Contacto Improvisación Colombia at Savitri (in Villa de Leyva, Colombia) in June of 2025, which lasted for a full week. We invite attendees to do something with the enthusiasm generated by this encounter, to activate a conversation related to our practices and intuitions, as well as upholding the coming and going of a continuous writing practice that occurs long distance and through email.
