Abstract

Las novelas históricas latinoamericanas forman parte de la educación cívica en que los jóvenes aprenden que pasión y nación caminan abrazadas. Muestran diversas alianzas de clase, raza y tradiciones regionales, opuestas a prácticas coloniales. Llevan a sus lectores a experiencias compartidas de cohesión social y prosperidad nacional. Es el caso de la escritora argentina Juana Manso, quien publica primero su novela en portugués (en Río de Janeiro) y luego la re-escribe en Argentina (en castellano).
