Abstract
Objetivos
: determinar prevalencia de malnutrición e identificar factores de riesgo socio demográficos
y de prácticas de alimentación asociados.
Metodología : estudio de corte transversal, en
niños de seis meses a cinco años.
Resultados : prevalencia de bajo peso 9,4%, talla baja 5,4%,
riesgo de sobrepeso 8,6% y sobrepeso 7,5%. Factores independientes relacionados con desnutrición:
bajo nivel educativo de las madres (OR 1,22) y no recibir suplemento de alimentación
en un hogar infantil (OR 1,47); con exceso de peso: no asistir a crecimiento y desarrollo
(OR 2.8), considerar prioritarios los tubérculos entre los alimentos en el primer año de vida (OR
2.24) y no haber recibido lactancia exclusiva.
Conclusiones : se recomienda la implementación
del AIEPI comunitario, con énfasis en prácticas clave relacionadas con alimentación.
