Abstract
Se revisa la importancia de los grupos de interés y asociación en las reformas y los sistemas de
salud, haciendo un recorrido por las principales teorías explicativas de los grupos como el
pluralismo, el corporativismo, el nuevo corporativismo, el nuevo institucionalismo, la lógica
racional y los enfoques mixtos como redes. Se expone que la emergencia de los grupos de
interés en un fenómeno cada vez más importante, sin embargo, poco conocido. Acompaña las
reformas del Estado, porque con ellas se fortalecen los interesados. Esto trae nuevas dificultades
a los sistemas de salud y a la democracia
