Abstract

The purpose of this study was to validate an instrument to assess internet and videogame addiction in adolescents. The sample consisted of 354 adolescents (M = 13.75, SD = 1.89). The model was confirmed showing acceptable fit indices (CFI = 0.918, IFI = 0.922, NFI = 0.883, RMSEA = 0.059). The alpha Cronbach was 0.73. According to the results, the instrument has been shown to be a valid tool for measuring internet and video game addiction.
