Abstract
Entrepreneurial intention is a state of mind that directs an individual to start a business. In order to know the state of the art, we conducted a systematic scoping review of studies on the assessment of entrepreneurial intention in university students, belonging to scientific journals, extracted from seven databases and following the recommendations of the PRISMA guide. Of the 139 articles reviewed, most were published in the last five years and in developing countries, with samples of close to 1000 subjects, greater use of non-probability sampling techniques, higher representation of women and of students from social sciences and law degrees. The theory of planned behaviour and the entrepreneurial event model were the most recurrent theoretical frameworks. The main variables measured were subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, self-efficacy and entrepreneurial attitude. Novel and updated data were provided, such as the implications for entrepreneurship education of the studies analyzed (types of training actions to be implemented, contents to be addressed in them and activities they could contain). This may be useful for professionals in the field to guide the processes of diagnosing training needs related to entrepreneurial intention and for the design of interventions that promote entrepreneurial intentionality and teach entrepreneurship.
