Abstract
Objetivo: en el presente estudio se valoró la estabilidad del color de resinas acrílicas y bisacrílicas. Métodos: se confeccionaron ochenta discos, la mitad fueron pulidos para comprobar cómo influye esto en la estabilidad del color. Las resinas se termociclaron y se sumergieron en diferentes líquidos pigmentantes. Se cuantificó el cambio en el color utilizando un espectrofotómetro. Resultados: los valores de cambio de color (DE) de todos los materiales fueron superiores al valor clínicamente aceptable. El pulido afecta en la estabilidad del color de manera diferente en cada material. Conclusiones: las resinas acrílicas y bisacrílicas presentaron cambios clínicamente significativos al ser envejecidas y sumergidas en líquidos pigmentantes. Bajo las condiciones del estudio, se demostró que estos materiales sufren cambios en el color, detectables clínicamente tras ser termocicladas y sumergidas en los líquidos pigmentantes estudiados. Las resinas acrílicas presentaron mayor estabilidad en el color que las resinas bisacrílicas. Por otro lado, el pulido influye en la estabilidad del color de estos materiales.
