En la ciudad de Santa Fe, a veinte días del mes de (2) noviembre de mil e quinientos y setenta e un años, (3) el ilustre señor licenciado don Diego de Narváez, oidor, del cosejo (4) de su majestad y su oidor en la Audiencia y Chancillería (5) Real de este Reino, dijo: que a su noticia es venido (6) que una india llamada Catalina, ladina, de la (7) provincia de Vélez de este Nuevo Reino que ha (8) estado en la casa de María Diez, viuda, vecina (9) de esta dicha ciudad, ha muerto con yerbas a dos niñas (10) sus hijas, la una de dos años e medio e la otra (11) de año e medio, y un indio panche de ocho años, (12) que la niña y el panche ambos murieron, y en este (13), reían... el domingo próximo pasado diez y ocho del (14) presente, y la niña primera e mayor murió (15) há quince días, y que también la dicha María Diez
