Abstract
Lo que a continuación encontrará el lector es la síntesis de un extenso informe sobre la investigación realizada en 1997 acerca del fenómeno de la narración oral universitaria en la ciudad de Bogotá. Esta síntesis intenta reflejar apretadamente la manera como se desarrolló el trabajo: en un primer momento, la indagación misma del fenómeno y luego su exposición. Para el primer paso se emplearon tanto herramientas teóricas, como instrumentos y artefactos de la observación etnográfica. La función de las primeras ha sido facilitar el ordenamiento de la indagación bajo el marco que podía ofrecer la categoría «género híbrido». Los segundos constituyen el material propiamente dicho de la observación.
