Abstract

The Law 1437 of 2011, Colombian Administrative Procedure Code, has established a new extraordinary remedy called “jurisprudential unification” This new institution, without reference standards in the Colombian administrative Procedure, could have an impact on the institutional design that might transform the Council of State in a court of unification very close to the French experience or similar the Supreme Court. The author arguments that institutional experimentalism has led us to establish an action with consequences that are still not certain, but may have
a direct impact on the judicial role of the Council of State in Colombia.
