Focus and Scope

Universitas Medica is an open-access scientific journal dedicated to disseminating research findings in the field of health sciences. Its objective is to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and the promotion of life care through the publication of high-quality articles aimed at professionals, educators, and researchers in medicine, nursing, and related disciplines, both nationally and internationally.

The journal, published on a continuous basis, is co-edited by the Hospital Universitario San Ignacio and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. It accepts original contributions, including scientific research articles, as well as systematic or integrative reviews that contribute to the consolidation of knowledge in various health areas.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

This journal does not impose article processing, publishing charges or embargo periods. All contents are available full-text without restriction.
