Abstract
Las migraciones humanas en Colombia, causadas por necesidades económicas y grupos armados, producen a su vez migraciones culturales, desplazamientos de cosmovisiones y percepciones artísticas. La región Pacífico no es ajena a estas problemáticas y el grupo África, como exponente de la música chocoana, representa un claro ejemplode esta situación. Sus integrantes, venidos de la región del río San Juan, llegan a Palmira en la búsqueda de oportunidades dentro de la industria azucarera, trayendo consigo su música, sus instrumentos y su percepción del mundo. Así pues, el siguiente trabajo, a partir de un corpus documental con referentes históricos y conceptuales con un diseño etnográfico, pretende adentrase en el proceso de creación y consolidación de este grupo, y además determinar características que hacen parte de su música.This journal is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
