Abstract
Este texto tiene por objeto la relación entre arte y gobierno en Colombia. Concentrado en trescasos específicos, el artículo intenta revelar la relación que se dio entre arte moderno y poderpolítico. A partir de una conceptualización amplia de las prácticas de gobierno centrada sobre lanoción de gubernamentalidad de Michel Foucault, se intenta observar cómo el poder político hapermitido la visibilización de ciertas prácticas y discursos artísticos a la vez que obscurecido otrasy cómo en ocasiones el arte fue incluso instrumentalizado en función de la hegemonía política.Mirando no sólo las obras, sino también los discursos que se han producido en relación a ellas,este trabajo concluye que hubo en efecto una cooptación −compleja− del arte por la política en laprimera mitad del siglo XX, en medio de la disputa ideológica que se libró entre los dos sectoresque entonces dominaban el panorama político nacional.This journal is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
