Abstract
El presente artículo hace parte de los avances del proyecto de investigación Imagen, violencia política y formación: perspectivas de análisis en Colombia, adscrito al centro de investigaciones de la Universidad Pedagógica Nacional ; el cual, tuvo como propósito llevar a cabo un estado del arte de los estudios sobre el lugar de la imagen en relación a la violencia política en Colombia. En este artículo se presenta el trabajo de varios autores que entre el 2000 y 2010 han adelantado investigaciones en torno a dos categorías de análisis: imagen y violencia; para finalmente, señalar rasgos comunes entre distintas perspectivas que ofrecen formas de comprensión de la imagen y su vínculo con la violencia política en el contexto colombiano.
