The Journal Cuadernos de Música, Artes Visuales y Artes Escénicas was created in January 2004 at the School of Arts of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá. It is a peer-reviewed journal published every six months that promotes investigation, reflection and review from broad methodological and theoretical perspectives, encouraging dialogue between artists, researchers, students, and other audiences. MAVAE currently divulges unpublished texts through an open call for papers in the categories of research or reflection in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. The journal, both in its online and printed versions, is subject to the Basic Creative Commons Attribution Licens
