Abstract
Leyendo y seleccionando los artículos para este dosier “Arte en la ruralidad y prácticas estéticas campesinas en América Latina”, fui muy lentamente descubriendo cómo desde diversas geografías y formas de producir conocimiento nos conectamos con lo rural, ya sea para entenderlo, traducirlo, acercarlo a otras disciplinas, sumergirnos en la experiencia y compartirla, hacer crítica o reescribir los incómodos prejuicios. Los trabajos seleccionados pasan por estos escenarios y con delicadeza y rigor nos enlazan con las tierras y los sucesos que ponen de relieve. Los lectores encontrarán artículos desde diferentes lugares de Colombia, México, Argentina y Perú, que los autores trabajaron en relación con la música, la lucha popular, el cine, la ecología, los tejidos, las hierbas, la danza, la recolección, el conflicto, las narrativas, la imagen, la ciencia y el teatro. Todos los artículos escritos, además, con lenguajes distintos, algunos que portan las tradiciones académicas y otros que se dejan tocar, a la vez, por los temas a los que hacen referencia.
