Abstract

The article aims to identify both the achievements and barriers in the inclusion of women in the labor market, associated with job promotion, remuneration, workload, work-family reconciliation, and gender-based violence. The changes necessary for the incorporation of the gender perspective go through three main avenues: culture, organizational practices and individual behaviors. In this way, one of the great contributions consists in highlighting the importance of an approach from a multidimensional perspective, which contemplates the culture of both societies and organizations, and that makes it possible to make visible the complexity of organizational practices when they want to be transformed into for equality.
