Resumo

A sucessão nos negócios da família é considerada como um estágio decisivo para sua continuidade. Embora seja um dos tópicos mais estudados, apenas uma pequena proporção deles sobrevive a cada transferência geracional. Em economias em desenvolvimento como a América Latina, a geração de conhecimento sobre o assunto é significativa, dada a proporção significativa de empresas familiares em cada país e, consequentemente, sua contribuição econômica e social. O presente trabalho é uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o processo de sucessão do negócio da família. Seu objetivo é a reconstrução de seu campo de estudo para incentivar o desenvolvimento de novos empregos. Entre os principais resultados, destaca-se a relação entre sucessão e planejamento estratégico, influência familiar e gestão integral.
