Abstract
Este artículo expone algunas hipótesis sobre ciertas formas del arte y cultura, en América Latina, a fines del siglo XIX ya fines del siglo XX, a través de las categorías de masa y multitud y de reproductibilidad técnica de los bienes culturales. Se trata de una propuesta para leer en qué afectó la aparición de la masa, como sujeto político y cultural, el conjunto de la producción de bienes simbólicos y cómo se estableció una nueva dinámica, con su aparición, entre las diferentes formas de producción cultural. El trabajo también se pregunta sobre las intervenciones de los artistas, los intelectuales, el Estado y el mercado en la dinámica cultural y sobre el peso de las instituciones en el marco de la nación. Finalmente, el artículo trata de leer el lugar de la multitud en la cultura moderna y su reactualización contemporánea.Cuadernos de Literatura is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License.
