Abstract
Este estudio descriptivo de corte transversal utilizó métodos cuantitativos y fuentes primarias de información, mediante 170 encuestas, para caracterizar Ia accesibilidad a 10s servicios de salud de Ias internas e hijos(as) convivientes del Centro de Reclusión para Mujeres El Buen Pastor de Medellín (Antioquia), en el año 2009. Los resultados indican que son mujeres en su mayoría antioqueñas, edad promedio 36 años, educación secundaria, solteras y procedentes de estratos socioeconómicos bajos. La reclusión desmejoró su afiliación al Sistema General de Seguridad Social en Salud. Cuando necesitaron servicios de salud fueron atendidas principalmente en el Establecimiento. Se concluye que a pesar de acceder a 10s servicios de salud, Ias internas manifestaron un alto grado de insatisfacción, principalmente por demoras en Ia atención, insuficiencia de recursos y dificultades en 10s trámites administrativos. Entre Ias barreras de acceso predominan Ias administrativas, a pesar de Ia gestión realizada por Ia Institución para garantizarles atención en salud.
