Abstract
Nursing care for the person is analyzed from two different perspectives: The approaches of three nursing theorists (Leininger, Orem and Watson) and the thesis of Habermas on communicative action. These approaches are related as a cooperative process of transcultural interaction between the person and the nurse, who are able to use language and action in and interpersonal relationship of participation and interlocution so as to plan and act through mutual interpretation and understanding. This, is done based on argumentation and consensus to finally carry out actions with beneficial goals for the development of the health and life of every person receiving and/or requesting nursing care.
