Abstract
This article aims to introduce the reader to the world of Groupware, its implications, architecture and components. We will present Groupware in a general sense, as well as an explanation of its uses, taxonomy and a brief presentation of some tools available and how they assist groups when working in teams. We expect to clarify the basic concepts needed for a good understanding of the topic and to pro vide a basis for eventualfuture studies.
