Once an article has been accepted for publication at Universitas Odontologica, following a methodological evaluation by the editorial team and double-blind peer review by international experts, it will enter the publication preparation process.

Authors will be asked to review the style and formatting to begin preparation for publication. Authors will be responsible for translating tables and figures into English and presenting them according to the journal's guidelines. Universitas Odontologica editors will perform style corrections and request additional revisions, if necessary.

Once an article is ready in the original language, it will be translated into English. Currently, the editors perform this translation. Later, the authors will be responsible for the translation into English.
The English-ready document, with titles, abstracts, and keywords in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, will be formatted and pre-published on the journal's website in PDF format. This version will have a DOI assigned and can be cited.

The manuscript in pre-publication format will be sent to the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Press, where compliance with the publication requirements will be verified. After verification, the Press will activate the DOI link and send the manuscript for XML-JATS markup and final publication.
