Abstract

Introduction: The purpose of this publication is to analyze the nursing narrative from the vision and concepts of the nursing metaparadigm proposed by Fawcett. The nursing narrative is a fundamental component of the expression of the nursing professional's interaction with human beings. It serves as a scenario for the identification of epistemological components constitutive of the discipline's own knowledge. Methodology: An analysis of the narrative from the conceptual component was carried out within the framework of the Seminar of Evaluation of the Theory for Research and Practice, of the Doctorate in Nursing of the National University of Colombia. Results: It is evident in the narrative components of nursing disciplinary knowledge such as vision and metaparadigmatic concepts. The narrative is in an integrative interactive vision. Conclusion: Priority should be given to identifying the needs that people in different situations are unable to express verbally. This is a narrative that evidences part of the CTE structure proposed by Fawcett, extending a bridge between theory and practice.
