Abstract

Los realities no son un virus para la comunicabilidad televisiva. Por el contrario, es el invento más completo imaginado por la televisión para renovar su pacto de entretenimiento. Los realities son un formato de narración de la televisión-mundo que debe ser llenado de contenido local para generar el producto masivo actual de mayor potencial de entretenimiento, mayor productividad industrial y mayor impacto en la conversación social. En este artículo, se deja de lado las morales académicas e ilustradas para adentrarse en el interior del reality como mecanismo de entretenimiento, dispositivo narrativo, estrategia industrial y lugar de convocación de las audiencias y las identidades. Detrás del reality hay más vida cultural de la que nos es posible imaginar.
