Peer Review Process

All material submitted to the journal is subject to a careful evaluation process by at least two academic peers in double blind fashion. In addition to the correction of style, which is done once the article is accepted for publication, the process includes the following steps:

a. Reception of the article by the editorial assistant of the journal that verifies that all the requirements for submission have been met. The authors have 20 days to make the initial adjustments to the article.

b. Initial review by the editor

c. Submission of the article to an Associate Editor member of the Editorial Committee. The article may be rejected at this stage if the Associate Editor and the Editor consider that the submission is not appropriate for the journal.

d. Submission of the article for Peer review. Peers have 20 days to make the evaluation.

e. Evaluation of the peer reviews by the Associate Editor and return of the article to the Authors for necessary corrections or modifications if deemed necessary or because of rejection. The authors have 20 days to make the requested changes and respond to the reviewers.

f. Submision of the corrected version of the article to the editor / associate editor who submits them back to the peers if deemed necessary. If this is not necessary the article is accepted or rejected for publication by the editor/associate editor and the authors are informed of the decision.
