Abstract
This article has as its objective to reflect around the series of processes, practices, methodological and conceptual conceptions which are part of the investigative-creative project Artistic practices for a more-than-human Colombia: from the plantation worlds to the tangle-worlds. The project takes as its starting point the play titled The silence of the savage: Inner journey through the syringa’s laticifers (El silencio del salvaje: Viaje interior por los laticíferos de la siringa) by Álvaro Iván Hernández Rodríguez (2014). It reads this play as the expression of the catastrophe and radical simplification produced by the extractivist and instrumental relation with nature, expressed in the rubber plantations. It aims to cultivate regenerative propositions from the rewritings of the text (fabric and texture), in the shape of performative practices for the making of the tangle, a term that is configured in the project as a notion, practice, experimental ideation and ideation method. The article proposes the tangle as a processual framework for making and thinking about possible futures, where different forms of contact which care for the interweaving between beings and worlds can be activated. At the same time, some of the emerging practices from the process of investigation-creation are presented. These point to emphasize the ecological power of the arts in the midst of the planetary crisis through an entanglement: the rubberings (encauchamientos), the touch (toque), the overflows (desbordamientos), the gardenings (jardinamientos) and the studies with leaves, are part of the sketch of this entangle-making.
