Abstract
Los estudios literarios y culturales sobre el siglo XIX en América Latina no pueden obviar tan fácilmente el trabajo intelectual de Beatriz González Stephan, desde su capital estudio "La historiografía literaria de! liberalismo hispanoamericano del siglo XIX" - Premio Casa de Las Américas 1987. Mención Ensayo-, hasta los acuciosos artículos publicados en múltiples revistas especializadas del continente. Venezolana, Ph. D en Literatura Hispanoamericana por la Universidad de Pittsburgh, fue durante muchos años profesora de la Maestría en Literatura Latinoamericana de la Universidad Simón Bolívar en Caracas donde, hasta el año pasado, dirigió la influyente revista Estudios. Ha sido compiladora de varios libros de suma importancia para el estudio de la literatura y la cultura en América Latina y actualmente forma parte del cuerpo de profesores de la Rice University, en Texas.Cuadernos de Literatura is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License. Thus, this work may be reproduced, distributed, and publicly shared in digital format, as long as the names of the authors and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana are acknowledged.
