Abstract
El objetivo de esta investigación fue analizar la sostenibilidad de la política de control de malariaen el municipio de El Bagre durante el año 2011. Se llevó a cabo un estudio de diseño mixtode modelo dominante CUAL→cuan, de carácter exploratorio. Se hicieron catorce entrevistasy una revisión documental, para identificar procesos sociales y ecológicos involucrados con lamalaria, y también para describir y analizar la política de control de esta enfermedad. Se encontróque la minería, las migraciones, las prácticas y creencias culturales, el conflicto armado y lasvariaciones climáticas se relacionaban con la dinámica de la enfermedad y, asimismo, que laestructura de la política de control da cuenta de escasa capacidad de los actores para adaptar lasacciones de control a estos procesos socioecológicos de la región. La política de control mostróser efectiva aunque, bajo los supuestos del modelo, es escasamente sostenible.Copyright notice
