Abstract
This article is a general introduction to the concepts from which the research study “Passions: A Cinematographic Set-up” was carried out. In particular, the concept of passion is introduced from a current perspective whereby it is defined as a language, with its own cognitive and strategic logic. Next, the author presents the methodology used for creating a model to analyze passions in cinema: the cinema as a system of representations and the staging of passions itself. The results of the analysis are then presented and, in the conclusions, new research possibilities are projected.This journal is registered under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License. Thus, this work may be reproduced, distributed, and publicly shared in digital format, as long as the names of the authors and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana are acknowledged.
