Focus and Scope

The mission of the UNIVERSITAS MEDICA journal is to publish original articles, review articles, subject reviews and reflection articles, that result of research in multimple health related aspects like basic, clinical, public health, and systems health, and in general issues related to teaching, care, and health promotion and prevention. We understand the concept of health, in the broad sense of "one health" according to the WHO (https://www.who.int/features/qa/one-health/en/), and in this perspective articles such as zoonotic diseases or antimicrobial resistance that affect human health, can be considered in the journal. Universitas Medica magazine is aimed at professionals, teachers and students in the area of ​​medicine and other sciences who work in favor of health, nationally and internationally. This publication is quarterly (4 issues per year published on January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1). However, from the third issue of 2020, to speed up publication, the articles will be published as they are with the finished editorial process. For this reason the numbers may appear before the expected date of publication.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

This journal does not impose article processing, publishing charges or embargo periods. All contents are available full-text without restriction.
