Abstract
Objetivo: investigou-se o impacto da condição socioeconômica mais elevada em situações deviolência doméstica contra as mulheres. Método: Estudo qualitativo e exploratório. Entrevistaram-se individualmente três mulheres com rendas individuais superiores a seis salários mínimosque haviam sofrido violência física e/ou psicológica, por parte de seus maridos, na época emque eram casadas. Utilizou-se o software Alceste para organizar e analisar os dados. Resultadose Discussão: Além da influência das redes de apoio, da crença religiosa e da independênciafinanceira na decisão de denunciar a violência e interromper o relacionamento, constatou-senos espaços religiosos e jurídicos de mediação e resolução de conflitos o impacto negativo dasnormas e valores de gênero na manutenção de relacionamentos violentos. Práticas de empoderamentofeminino e de transformação dos valores que apoiam a desigualdade de gênero mostramimportantes para que se possa promover segurança e relações conjugais mais igualitárias.Copyright notice
