Abstract

In this article we describe a numericalalternative to sovlve systems ofnonlinear equations with real and/orcomplex roots. The problem of solvingdirectly such systems was transformedinto an optimization one, which wassolved using a specially modified particleswarm method. As an example,system of two, five and ten equationswere solved using a conventional personalcomputer as well as a cluster offour nodes. It was concluded that thisstrategy is valid for solving this type ofsystems of equations. Moreover, usingthe cluster no computational timeimprovement was detected.
