Resumo
El síndrome de Treacher Collins (STC) es un trastorno craneofacial congénito de herencia autosómica dominante. La incidencia del STC es de 1 en 25.000 a 50.000 nacidos vivos. Es causado por mutaciones en el gen encargado de producir la proteína treacle. Está caracterizado por hipoplasia malar y pliegue antimongoloide de los párpados. El diagnóstico es clínico. El tratamiento requiere un acercamiento conjunto de varias especialidades. Se realiza una breve revisión de tema y se presenta el caso de una paciente con diagnóstico de STC, quien recibió tratamiento en el Hospital Universitario San Ignacio.
