Abstract

this paper describes the current state of school violence and climate at primary schools in France. A survey that gathered information of perceptions and experiences around school climate and self-reported victimization was held among 12,326 pupils of 157 public schools in eight departments. the results reveal that the majority of pupils are feeling good at their schools. However, 10% of participants are victimized repetitively, and these occurrences affect their perceptions of security and general school climate.
