Resumen

La falla intestinal (FI) es una enfermedad infrecuente, pero con múltiples etiologías algunas comunes. En los últimos años la supervivencia ha aumentado en los pacientes afectados. El manejo adecuado y oportuno de esta condición, influye drásticamente en el pronóstico, desenlaces, sobrevida y calidad de vida.
