Resumo
El examen oftalmológico debe ser una actividad obligatoria para el estudiante de medicina y el médico general. Su realización es de suma importancia en la atención de pacientes con síntomas oculares, quienes requieren una evaluación oftalmológica completa y una descripción clínica adecuada. Este artículo surge ante la necesidad que tienen los estudiantes de medicina y los médicos generales de realizar un adecuado examen oftalmológico en sus prácticas clínicas, con el fin de poder establecer diagnósticos claros y así brindar un tratamiento correcto o solicitar la remisión pertinente a un paciente que requiera el cuidado de un oftalmólogo.
