Abstract

Scholarly development and the incorporations of research as a process and a “natural” function of education is an important issue at universities. This paper analyzes the context of universities and the possibilities of incorporating science in teacher training programs as well as the participation of students in the research systems at universities. Some universities seem to have a well-structured discourse in these issue, but questionable results as for scientific production, development of scholarly communities and research training of young people.
