Abstract

this paper addresses transformations of authority and its relation to violence at school and at home, as established in the theoretical framework of a study named School Violence in Bogotá: the Families′, Teachers′ and Children′s Perspectives. this study was carried out using qualitative methodologies, and as a result the Cores of Social Education program was developed in 2009 and 2010, which involved parents, teachers and neighborhood representatives around five public schools and was based on the Investigation-Action-Participation model.
