Abstract

El artículo analiza el aporte de Guillermo Hoyos-Vásquez a la formación ciudadana en el contexto colombiano. Por un lado, destaca su contribución al pensar la educación como acto comunicativo en diálogo con filósofos de Occidente como Kant, Husserl y Habermas y, por otro, da particular importancia a su condición y talante moral como educador, a la luz de una concepción amplia de la educación como un compromiso de defensa de la razón en su uso público en un mundo de inequida- des y discriminación.
